The House signed an agreement with the National Academy of History of the Republic of Ecuador for the establishment of a Permanent Cooperation Mission. The agreement was signed at a solemn ceremony held at the headquarters of the National Academy in Quito. A delegation traveled in representation of the House and it included several of the officials who will be serving at the Permanent Mission. As part of the ceremony both the current President and the President Emeritus received the “livery collar” of the Household directly from His Excellency Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt. The Permanent Cooperation Mission will focus on joint research projects, internships, and faculty mobility. It should be noted that the National Academy of History of the Republic of Ecuador is the country’s official research body and thus one of the most important educational institutions in the region. The delegation included Dr. Mathew J. Anderson who will be serving as Minister Counsellor, Ms. Francia Francia Peña Fontanillas who will be serving as attaché for community engagement, Dr. Jesus Estupiñán Ricardo who will be serving as attaché, and Mr. Miguel Falconi who will be serving as counsellor. Other members of the Household who will be serving as part of the Permanent Cooperation Mission and whose credentials were presented as part of the agreement but who were not present in person for the signing include: Mr. Arif Anis, Counsellor, Dr. Luis Gregorio Holguin, attaché, Dr. Javier Arranceta, attache, Dr. Antonio Bascones Martinez, attaché, Mr. Miguel Alava, First Secretary, Dr. Taehee Choi, minister counsellor, Professor Chris Brown, Minister Counsellor, and Professor Raymond Keene, attaché. The Household wishes the best of luck to its officers accredited to the Permanent Cooperation Mission to the National Academy of History of the Republic of Ecuador.
