The House of Feigenblatt signed an official cooperation agreement with the Andean Parliament. The solemn session took place on the 9th of December at the main auditorium of the Andean Parliament in Bogota. His Excellency Dr. Eduardo Chiliquinga, Secretary General of the Andean Parliament co-chaired the session with His Excellency Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt. The event was attended by many members of the House including several collar members such as the Honorable Cristina Reyes Hidalgo Reyes, Vice Presidential Candidate for the Republic of Ecuador and former President of the Andean Parliament, Mathew J. Anderson, President of the Latin American Campus of Keiser University, Mr. Arif Anis, MBE, Special Envoy of the House to the Middle East and Central Asia, and many others. It was also truly an honor to have the presence of representatives of more than twenty universities and several national academies as witnesses to this historic event. His Excellency Dr. Jaime Alberto Leal Afanador, Rector of the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) of Colombia delivered a very moving speech about the future of education. It should be noted that UNAD is the largest university in the region with more than 200,000 students and it is considered to be a case study of excellence in distance education. The House of Feigenblatt is currently working on a variety of projects to support the regional educational policy established by the Andean Parliament.
