It was a true privilege to receive the medal as academician of honor of the Academy of Odontological Sciences of Spain. The session was held in the premises of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy and it was attended by representatives from several Royal Academies. My acceptance speech focused on the important role of the National Academies in the diffusion of knowledge.
