In the context of the summer courses of the Méndez Pelayo University, which are almost 100 years old and are the oldest in Spain, the medal of Fellow of the “Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt” Interuniversity Lecture Series for Peace, Development, and Education has been awarded to Dr. Ana Fernández Laviada. Professor of Accounting and Director of the Yunnus center of the University of Cantabria, she is also president of the Observatory of Entrepreneurship in Spain. The medal was presented by Dr. Gregorio Holguín, Chamberlain of the House of Feigenblatt the Director of the Interuniversity Lecture Series for Spain and Portugal, within the cycle of courses "Towards the impact economy".
Development and education are two fundamental values in Ana Fernández Laviada's career, which is why she has been worthy of this award. There are already more than one hundred summer courses taught at the UIMP, with more than 50 academics and professionals who are experts in the sector attending this cycle. The closing of the course will be carried out by the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Yunnus, also Doctor Honoris by the UIMP.
